The association Bahnprojekt Stuttgart-Ulm e.V. invites since Holy Saturday, 16.04.2022 to the days of the open construction site around the Stuttgart main station. Until tomorrow (Easter Monday, April 18, 2022), interested parties can visit the construction site with the partially already closed roof of the new platform hall from 10 am to 5 pm.

"Supported by the good weather, Easter Sunday was also a well-attended day at the construction site," says Bernhard Bauer, chairman of the Stuttgart-Ulm rail project association. "Around 18,000 people took advantage of the visit to the S21 construction site for an Easter Sunday stroll to see one of Stuttgart's most talked-about construction sites. From conversations with the visitors, we know that they very much appreciate the direct exchange with the experts." The personal exchange as well as being able to inform oneself live on site is the goal of the event, Bauer continues.

Visitor numbers from previous years over all three days:

2016: 30.000
2017: 25.000
2018: 40.000
2019: 35.000
2020: 64.000
2021: Cancelled due to pandemic
2022 (2/3 days): 33,000 (sum of day 1 and 2)
