With a good 35,000 visitors, this year's Construction Site Open Days around Stuttgart Central Station continued the successful series of events of previous years.

From January 4 to 6, 2019, visitors were able to get their own impression of the structures directly on site and talk to engineers and experts.

"This event is the first highlight of the year within our association work," Tanja Sehner, Head of Marketing & Event of the Stuttgart-Ulm Rail Project Association, classifies the event. "At eighteen stations, guests were able to learn about numerous topics, including tunnel construction, traffic benefits, or how the groundwater management system works."

All project partners and project participants were represented with information booths, which underlined the importance of the event.
Despite the partly uncomfortable weather, numerous interested people found their way to the construction site and took the opportunity to inform themselves about the project.
