In the InfoTurmStuttgart (ITS), the city, association, state and Deutsche Bahn jointly provide information about their future projects

The association Bahnprojekt Stuttgart-Ulm e.V. had a successful year in 2025, with 203,175 visitors to the InfoTurmStuttgart (ITS for short) exhibition, over 81,000 visitors to the open days at the construction site and 1,400 booked guided tours. „After more than five years, the InfoTurmStuttgart is still one of the top addresses of all Stuttgart museums and exhibitions. We are particularly proud of this,“ said Bernhard Bauer, Chairman of the Stuttgart-Ulm railroad project association, on the occasion of the annual review. „The number of visitors to the open construction site days remains consistently high. Due to construction-related requirements and the expected large crowds, we even had to restrict access last year - otherwise many more interested people would have come to the construction site.“ The unbroken demand for qualified information about Stuttgart 21 can also be seen in the number of guided tours of the construction site, which at 1,400 is comparable to 2024 (1,450 tours). „So far, over 800,000 interested people have visited the ITS. I am sure that we will welcome our one millionth guest this year,“ Bauer continues.

Outlook for 2026

The main event for citizens is the open construction site days. Together with the management of DB Projekt Stuttgart-Ulm GmbH, it was agreed that the mega-event can and should take place again this year. The association is organizing this for the tenth time and plans to show parts of the construction site to the public from Holy Saturday (04.04.) to Easter Monday (06.04.), as work is traditionally not carried out on the construction site on these days.

„People's interest and the incredibly large number of visitors speak for themselves. Because everyone comes with great curiosity and leaves the construction site with even greater enthusiasm,“ says Bauer, summing up the experiences of recent years. „This is a great station and a new landmark for Stuttgart.“ As was the case last year, access to the construction site will only be possible after prior registration and will be free of charge. The online page for ticket sales will be communicated at a later date both on the homepage (its-projekt.de) and on the association's social media channels (@infoturmstuttgart) in good time.

The ITS is increasingly establishing itself within urban society as an information and event location. „We are an exhibition for everyone. Even for children, as the LIFT Kids award proves,“ Bauer continues. „With regular special events, such as ITS Yoga, ITS Wine Time or ITS Kids Club, we also reach people who are not primarily interested in the topic of construction and then come to the exhibition. „Stuttgart 21 is a cross-generational project. A project from which everyone benefits. Future generations will say that it's good that investments were made here and that it was built,“ Bauer continues.
